Remember all the chaos that Christian Horner’s Investigation started at Red Bull. It seems as if the dust is still not settled despite it being weeks since Adrian Newey announced his exit from the team. The team seems to be losing ground to McLaren and Ferrari in terms of performance and are barely the fastest cars now. Amid all this, Zak Brown has come out once again to take a shot at Red Bull hinting at future financial troubles. But what did he say?

Adrian Newey’s exit stirred up the F1 paddock and gave confirmation regarding the power struggles going on at Red Bull. Max Verstappen and Helmut Marko’s exit were the next rumors to come up following the Chief Technical Officer’s exit. Zak Brown took this opportunity and took a jab at Christian Horner, suggesting that Newey is just the first of many to fall and that the resumes of Red Bull people are flying around the paddock. Toto Wolff backed Zak Brown’s claims.

Christian Horner slammed the duo and took a shot at both the Mercedes and McLaren CEO, explaining how CVs are always flying around. But Zak Brown is now back again to take revenge as he once again has brought up the unsettled issues at Red Bull while pointing to the fact that the discomfort at Milton Keynes is more than just the flying CVs. Brown pointed at a possible sponsorship struggle for Red Bull following the Horner investigation and the toxic environment within Red Bull at the moment.

Speaking on the Bloomberg Hot Pursuit podcast, Christian Horner said, “Red Bull is a pretty toxic environment, you know, with everything that’s been going on there. I think there’s more to come. You know, Adrian Newey leaving is a big deal because there’s a lot of people that are probably there that wanted to work alongside Adrian Newey, and I made the comment there’s some CVs flying around, there are. And there’s always CVs flying around, but you can see a higher level of discomfort there.”

Explaining how Red Bull might end up with financial struggles, Zak Brown said, “I think it’s harder for them in the future with what’s kind of gone on with kind of the situation for sponsors, you know, I think, you know, sponsors, they kind of look at who they’re associated with, what are they saying?” He further added, “So I think that’s an unbelievably great racing team, but a pretty destabilized environment.”

Christian Horner isn’t one who holds back. But as we await a reply from the Red Bull Team Principal, let’s look at how Horner responded to the previous jab from Zak Brown.

Christian Horner played down Zak Brown’s “Flying CVs” claim slamming Toto Wolff

After Zak Brown made the claims of Red Bull CVs flying around after Newey’s exit, Toto Wolff was quick to pitch in and support the idea revealing that the Mercedes CEO has also had an increase in Red Bull CVs in his mail. Wolff and Horner are like the Hamilton and Verstappen from 2021, and never back down from taking a shot at one another. Hence, despite the fact that Zak Brown was the one who started it, Horner turned it upon Toto Wolff.

Christian Horner said, “I think we know there are two candidates involved; they talk a lot. And look, I’m not going to get Zak [Brown] in for a tit for tat, but I’d be more focused on Toto’s [Wolff] own issues that he has. Of course, there’s always going to be movement between teams. I don’t know how many people we’ve employed from McLaren this year or how many people VCARB we’ve employed. In Mercedes, we’ve taken 220 people. 220 into Red Bull power trains so when we’re talking about losing people I’d be a bit more worried about the 220 not maybe one or two.”
