REPORT: Alpine Set to Lose F1 Boss to Moto GP

As Renault was transformed into Alpine, the French team also got onboard new management. In April of this year, the Formula One community was quite surprised that MotoGP boss Davide Brivio was joining the grid.

However, there are reports from Moto.it emerging that Brivio could be heading back to his former employees. The Italian boss is already having talks with Suzuki.

After the departure of Cyril Abiteboul, the Enstone-based team had changed its management structure. They split the team principal’s role in two separate ones, which are now headed by Marcin Budkowski and Brivio.

However, not even a year into his new Formula One job, there are talks that the Italian is heading back to the world of MotoGP, where he made a name for himself.

How’s the French team doing this season?

The Enstone-based team had a rough start to the 2021 campaign. However, one of the talking points of their season so far was the result of the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest.

French driver, Esteban Ocon, grabbed their first win of the season and grabbed all twenty-five points for Alpine. In terms of points in the championship standings, Alpine occupies fifth place in the table with 104 points to their name.

With six races remaining till the end of the season, Alpine hopes that both Ocon and Fernando Alonso grab good results and seize maximum points from the upcoming races.

Alonso and Ocon have been confirmed as teammates for the upcoming season, and the French team hopes they continue to bring good results for the team, next season as well.
