.The 2021 F1 season was indeed a roller coaster ride for the viewers, with the championship rivalry swinging like a pendulum, right until the cusp of the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi. For the first time in weeks, there was a tinge of relief sneaking through Max Verstappen’s face. But, the focus hardly persisted on the Dutchman, as cameras soon caught an absolutely dejected Lewis Hamilton.
The 7-time world champion looked as if he had lost his hope in Formula 1 altogether, especially after having witnessed one of the most diabolical ends to a season amidst controversial decisions by the stewards. Later, Toto Wolff’s comments further fueled some rumors.

The Austrian mildly touched upon the topic of Hamilton potentially retiring from F1. So, the follow-up actions from the media weren’t necessarily surprising. Many even claimed that the Briton might hang his boots after completing a historic career in the sport.

Two weeks later, a lot of fans are still having their fingers crossed hoping that Hamilton doesn’t actually call it a day. Well, one may give their fingers a rest, as the record-equaling world champion is going nowhere.
Lewis Hamilton is not retiring from F1
According to Motorsport, the affirmation has arrived that Hamilton will indeed stay in Formula 1 as per plan until the end of 2023. The fight between Hamilton and Verstappen isn’t over just yet, as the former is ready to target the Dutchman for the consecutive season.

Only this time, Red Bull might have a bit of an issue amidst the latest addition to Mercedes’ line-up – George Russell. Unlike Valtteri Bottas, Russell is likely to be much faster and a lot more aggressive.Hence, the youngster is all set to make life harder for the Milton Keynes outfit.

Also, unless Sergio Perez can step up in his second driver role, the chances of Verstappen winning against Hamilton for the second season in a row looks a bit too far-fetched.
