The reports suggest Vasseur would be the fallback name instead of the obvious choice. Additionally, the current Alfa Romeo is the only available option for Ferrari.

“Vasseur remains a candidate to succeed Binotto,” states Stefano Mancini in La Stampa. “An alternative hypothesis is the ad interim appointment of the managing director of Ferrari, Benedetto Vigna, and the appointment of a technical director, a figure canceled by Binotto,” he added.
