The off-season will end in a few months, and our favorite F1 drivers will be back on the racetracks. While the drivers are having fun in their downtime, the team is working nonstop to create a new vehicle for them. Mercedes is a little earlier this year than they were last since they released the Christmas gift for the fans, which will undoubtedly help Lewis Hamilton get payback.

The Brackley-based team had uploaded a video of the first engine start from inside their factory. The crew uploaded the video on all social media platforms. We can see multiple team members working on the car before their coworker watched on as the engine was started. We can also notice that they are using earplugs to block out sounds from the factory.

Mercedes had kept the specifics of the vehicle a secret, and the W-14’s launch date has not yet been determined. As of now, only Aston Martin and Ferrari have made their car launch dates, the 13th and 14th of February, public. Lewis Hamilton’s heart must have raced after the engine fired, and he will undoubtedly be eager for the new season to start right away.

It’s obvious that the team is aware of what prevented them from winning any trophies this year, and they are constantly working on the car to give it a sturdy construction that will enable their star driver to take revenge after the heartbreaking loss at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2021 and of the worst season ever this year. But before that, the star of the team had played a major role in geeing all of them.

Lewis Hamilton gee’s the entire Mercedes

Mercedes, who had dominated the F1 tracks for almost a decade, was dethroned by Red Bull this year. For the Silver Arrows, this might have felt like a punch in the gut, but there’s no need to panic because the seven-time champion has given the squad confidence and greatly contributed to keeping the team intact. Additionally, the Englishman wants him and the crew to work tirelessly and not skip a beat.

As per Autosport he said, “For sure I’ve got to try and continue to gee everybody up, make sure we leave no stone unturned so that next year, we arrive, and we can fight for positions that we deserve to be fighting for.”

Hamilton claimed that the team had experience in creating championship-winning vehicles. He said, “I think what we always have to remember is this is a team, there are people at this team that have been here over 20 years and delivered eight titles since I’ve been here, and more before. They know how to build a World Championship fighting car. For me, it’s just trying to support them in the best way I can.”
