When Carlos Sainz moved to Ferrari after a stellar couple of years with Lando Norris, a lot reckoned F1 would never witness such a pairing anytime in the future. However, then arrived the bromance between Sainz and his Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc.

While it initially looked like Sainz and Leclerc might cause an intense rivalry on the track, the reality has entirely been the opposite. To bolster this statement, the duo took part in some rather hilarious banter on social media.

Leclerc posted an image on Instagram starring himself alongside his girlfriend, Charlotte Siné, captioning, “Some time off” The couple were off on a vacation to the Greek island of Mykonos, considering there will be no racing until the end of August.

What was the banter between Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc?

Sainz came across the picture and decided to take a dig at his own teammate. The Spaniard noticed the red lips of Leclerc and replied to the picture with a tomato emoji.

Then arrived the counter-response from the Monegasque, which left the fans bursting with laughter. He wrote, “Just trying to match the colour of the car mate.”

Hours later, Sainz gave out his final reply to this brief yet amusing exchange of words. “Keep up the good work. Enjoy the holidays couple,” the Spaniard added.

The two Ferrari drivers are undeniably a breath of fresh air for the outfit, considering they prefer being serious on and off the track. The last time Ferrari witnessed a fun pairing was when Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen joined forces.
