The 2021 Formula One season was absolute chaos for every single fan and was mentally quite draining as well. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton showed no mercy as they fought each other to the chequered flag of the season finale in Abu Dhabi and so did their teams, Red Bull and Mercedes for the constructor’s title.
Hence, it was quite hard for anyone to catch their breath as there were actions unfolding on most of the race weekends. If this was the case for the viewers, one can only imagine how exhausting it would have been for the individuals working within the two championship-contending teams.

What did Helmut Marko say?
Speaking to F1-Insider, Marko opened up that he had spent over ten days in a health clinic at the beginning of the year 2022. Why? Well, he reckoned it helped him detox his mind and body from all the stress that accumulated over the F1 campaign last year.

“It was like a sauna for the soul too,” the Austrian said. “Cellphones were only allowed in the evenings, to detox the body and mind from all the stress that accumulates in a year. I highly recommend.”
Marko does own a stressful job in hand, managing the Red Bull junior drivers. Hence, his workload often reaches the absolute peak during the off-season when most of the contractual talks and signings take place.
