This year the seven-time world champion is struggling on the track. Time and again there have been talks about Lewis calling off his career with Mercedes at the end of this year. But now, the Mercedes boss has revealed that Lewis might be pushing for another contract extension with the 8-time world champions.
Earlier in the season, Lewis himself hinted at his plans and said he is “enjoying what I’m doing” and “feel like I’ve got plenty of fuel left in the tank.”
Toto explained how the clear communication between the two has helped him know what was in the head of F1’s Billion Dollar man.
Wolff said, “The advantage is we speak a lot together [both live near each other in Monaco]. Just last week we sat down and he says ‘look, I have another five years in me, how do you see that?’”

Talking about the contract extension, Toto Wolff believes that the contract will extend. Putting an end to rumors, He said, “So I have no doubt that whatever we agree on a contract extension, which is going to happen, that we both are always going to discuss, very openly, what does the future hold.”
