Formula One fans are well-versed with the fun-loving personality of Sebastian Vettel. Whether it’s joking around with drivers or interacting with the fans, he always has something to add to every interaction.

Recently, the German engaged in one of F1’s traditional fan interaction sessions titled “Fan Meet Driver.” During the session, Vettel joked with a British fan on the call while showing concern for his safety.

The Aston Martin driver answered many questions from fans, who enjoyed the German’s company and personality.

During the session, Vettel asked one fan whether he was driving and attending the call. While the host revealed they were on their way to Silverstone, the fan mentioned he was in the passenger seat instead. “My missus is driving. We were pulled over 5 minutes ago for swabs,” said the fan.

After expressing relief, Vettel went on to pull the fan’s leg by joking about driving in England. He said“Okay, okay! I was confused because, you know, obviously I didn’t think of the UK sitting on the right side. So I was thinking this guy’s chilled. He’s sitting on the left driving and looking at his camera the whole time!”

With the joke, Vettel showed a slight sense of concern for the fan’s safety as well. While his post-race inspection of rival cars earned him the title of ‘Inspector Seb,’ it seems the world will now witness a ‘Safety Seb’ in the future.

Can Vettel bounce back at the Hungarian Grand Prix?

Vettel fared well in the qualifying sessions at Silverstone. While he qualified 10th on Friday, he finished the sprint race on Saturday in P8. However, an issue forced him to retire from the British Grand Prix on Sunday, which brought his scoring momentum to a screeching halt.

However, the German now heads to the Hungaroring, where he has two Grand Prix victories. Although he is far from being in that position this time, Vettel’s experience could help him return to the points this weekend.
