Sebastian Vettel Responds to Speculations on His F1 Future With Aston Martin

It has been a very busy week in terms of transfers in Formula One. George Russell was announced as the Mercedes driver for the 2022 season as Valtteri Bottas departs to join Alfa Romeo for next season. Alex Albon will drive for Williams Racing in place of Russell. But Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel mentioned he has no news to share regarding his future in F1.

Vettel is confident that he will stay with the British team for the 2022 season. While he hasn’t signed a contract for next season yet, he believes he will do it soon.

I think we’ll have an answer very soon: Sebastian Vettel

As reported by Motorsport, Vettel stated he is not worried about his future in the sport and hopes to continue driving for Aston Martin for another season.

“I’m talking to the team, obviously, and I think we’ll have an answer very soon,” Vettel said.

When asked why is there no news to share, he replied, “never really talked much about contracts.”

“As I said, we are talking to each other, “ Vettel said. The 4-time world champion shed light on how his first season with the British team is going.

“I really enjoy working with the team. I think the atmosphere is great, and I do believe the future of this team is very, very bright,” mentioned Vettel.

Aston Martin driver is happy for George Russell

Sebastian Vettel stated he is happy for Williams driver George Russell as he will drive for Mercedes in 2022. He also praised the returning Alex Albon, as he will drive for Williams in 2022.

“It’s been an exciting week,” Vettel said.

“It’s nice to see that George gets the opportunity to move up, nice to see that Alex comes back. I think with the talent he has, he deserves a spot in Formula 1.” said the four-time world champion.

Vettel joined the Aston Martin team at the beginning of the 2021 season. He has claimed a P2 with the team in Baku and performed brilliantly in his debut season for the team.
