Team owner Lawrence Stroll has already revealed that the team aims to build on their previous campaign. He wants to target a title run in 2022. But for 2021, with Vettel in the cockpit, they would want to earn a few more podiums and perhaps a win or two.

On the topic of Vettel, there have been some delays regarding his seat fit. According to F1 reporter Will Buxton, “He was due to be at the team early January, to get his seat fit and to really get settled with the squad.

“But with everything that’s going on in the UK with COVID at the moment, that has had to be delayed.”

It’ll be interesting to see when the German driver gets a chance to fly to the UK for his seat fit. So far it seems as if there is no fixed date.

Buxton reports former title sponsor BWT may still appear on Aston Martin car

A few days ago, the Silverstone-based outfit confirmed that they had a new title sponsor in Cognizant, an IT-based service company. They will replace former title sponsor BWT who lent the iconic pink livery to the Racing Point car.

However, according to Buxton, BWT hasn’t been entirely replaced as a sponsor just yet.

“Apparently, it’s not an absolute dead certain that BWT disappears completely. Even though their logos don’t appear on their new website. But it’s not a 100% that they will definitely be off.”

Either way, one can rest assured that the new Aston Martin livery will not be pink. Having already teased fans with what to expect, the full livery reveal has been delayed. Nevertheless, from the little visual cues we have grasped from their teaser, it looks to be a banger.
