Sebastian Vettel moved to Aston Martin this season to drive alongside Lance Stroll. The German has essential championship-winning experience in Formula 1 that will help both the team and his teammate. Thus, the young Canadian, who has many years to go and a lot to gain, has a golden opportunity to learn everything he can from a four-time world champion.

Considering his technical knowledge and race-winning experience, Sebastian Vettel will bring a lot to the table. In a recent interview, his teammate, Lance Stroll, shared a few praises for the German champ.

He said, “He is very knowledgeable when it comes to the behavior of the car and what he wants from the car. His comments are very clever. He has a lot of experience and of course he is a very talented driver.”

It’s been only a few months that Aston Martin has had with Vettel, which means that Stroll has quite a bit of time with him. “I’m sure I’ll get to know him a lot better in the next few weeks when we’re on the track and run similar programs,” Lance shared further.

Stroll points out a critical advantage to Sebastian Vettel

The young Canadian driver is only 22 years old and could learn a lot from the former world champion. However, having spent a couple of years with the team, Stroll believes he has an added advantage.

“I’ve been with this team for a few years now. So I definitely know the car better than he does and know more about how the team works. He still has to get used to a lot of things and learn a lot about how the team and the car work.”

However, the Canadian understands that they both have to work together for the team. “We’re in different positions. But I’m sure we can steer the team in the right direction and get the best out of the car this year.”

Aston Martin did not have an ideal start and struggled during the pre-season testing. However, with Lance Stroll’s last season performance and Sebastian Vettel’s immense title-winning experience, we can expect the team comeback stronger during the races.
