Sergio Perez joined Red Bull Racing for the 2021 season. Most people think Verstappen will easily beat his new teammate; however, Mika Hakkinen thinks that the Mexican’s arrival to the team is positive and can surprise the team’s prodigy, Max Verstappen.

Perez’s future was up in the air, as Vettel was coming in to replace him, leaving the Mexican without a seat. However, having shown impressive performances towards the end of the season, and a win at Bahrain caught the attention of the Austrian outfit and brought him for the 2021 season.

Red Bull finished second in the constructor’s battle last season, while their rival Mercedes took home their seventh title. The Milton-Keynes-based outfit hopes by having a talented line they can push for the title in 2021.
