However, as Renault was becoming Alpine for the 2021 season, Abiteboul parted ways with the French team. His departure rose the question if he would ever get the tattoo or not.

Perez joked about getting Abiteboul back on the grid and also joked about starting another bet with Red Bull boss, Christian Horner.

Sergio Perez hopes to bring back Abiteboul to F1

In the podcast, Beyond The Grid Sergio was asked if he had placed any bets with Horner, after the likes of Ricciardo having bets with Cyril and Zak Brown.

He said, “No, we haven’t got into it, I think we will do something, some point. He asked, “Did Cyril get his tattoo? because he is gone, we need to find him. The F1 community should do something to bring Cyril back.”

The Mexican is optimistic about his new Red Bull car

Perez was rumored to be out of a seat for the 2021 season, as Vettel was coming in to replace him for the next season. However, after his impressive performances caught their attention, Red Bull signed him up for the upcoming championship.

He said, “The way you drive each of the cars is very different, so you have to adapt to a different car, to a different style. But all in all, I also have to say that this car has very good potential in it. I think once I get on top of the car, then we should be looking good.”
