Max Verstappen has won more from Charles Leclerc’s pole positions that Leclerc himself this year. This stat pretty much wraps up the story of this F1 year to some extent. The Monegasque remains unstoppable in qualifying and proves his mettle, but rarely ever finishes the race at P1.

After a power unit issue, the 24-year-old even had to retire in Baku, costing him too much in the competition. Now, Max Verstappen has given his take on the situation and believes that these things happen and one has to get back up. Verstappen has also had his fair share of bad luck, but ultimately managed an epic championship comeback in the last couple of races.

Ferrari, as we all know, are drowning in their own mistakes. Recently, the Maranello camp has managed to blow Leclerc’s lead, further taking him one step away from the championship. Arguably, the team does not look championship ready, despite making a title-winning car.

Max Verstappen leads the table after Ferrari’s mistakes

In Baku, Ferrari had to retire both their cars, when Carlos Sainz had a Hydraulic issue and Leclerc a power unit one. Leclerc, by that time, was leading the race, after a strategy change from Ferrari. Despite the Red Bulls being extremely fast and Verstappen almost catching up on Leclerc, Charles could’ve won the race.
