Ferrari has stood second innumerable times in the championship over the years. The harsh reality is that the team only has 26 points on the board. And the two drivers have been losing out because of radio miscommunication or simply just a sluggish car. And the current reality has Carlos Sainz making a last bid of desperate hope to the speed gods up there.

The Maranello had a bumper season opener when they arrived for the 2022 campaign last year. As quoted by Danz, resting the debate around who the King of Spain is, Carlos said, “Fernando Alonso is closer to his 33rd win than I am to my 2nd. Aston Martin is a bit better than us, especially in races. If I was at home, I would be supporting him too.”

However, further down the line, he made the most horrid confession wrapped in hope, “We need Red Bull to fail and we need to step up as well to beat AMR and Mercedes.”

Look at what F1 Twitter has to say.
