Red Bull Boss Christian Horner would be happy to know that now he can also predict the unexpected. The Austrian almost displayed a clairvoyant-like ability when he made a statement back in 2021. While the FIA regulations went through major changes, team principals were asked for their opinions. During that time, there was a huge debate amid teams about whether they should fight in the 2021 season or prepare for the next one.

Christian Horner: The clairvoyant
Ferrari was one team to announce a pre-mature exit from 2021. The sporting director Laurent Mekies was clear that they will put up a fight for third place with Mclaren, but want to majorly focus on 2022. The Maranello team has struggled immensely in the past few years with no GP wins, let alone Championship wins. However, seems like their long wait is finally over now.
Christian Horner, the Team principle for the constructors that decided to fight in 2021, jokingly made a statement in 2021 saying, “When Ferrari turn up with the fastest car and smash us out of the park at the first race then you’ll have to say it probably did [compromise us].”

Fans were on the edge of their seats when Leclerc and Verstappen fought for the lead, starting on lap 17. Overall, Max failed to maintain his lead as Charles’ tactics and the superior car kept him ahead of Verstappen.

Notably, we can expect these moments throughout the season. As things stand, this is clearly a Red Bull vs Ferrari fight, which will go on and could give us a dramatic ending.

Moreover, Ferrari engines are said to not have been at their best yet and are expected to pick up more pace in the coming GPs. Well, if that is the case, the Italian team could possibly have a new era of sheer dominance on their plate.
