Fernando Alonso recently announced his split with her now ex-girlfriend Andrea Schlager. Nevertheless, during the month-long break before the Azerbaijan GP, rumors of Alonso and Taylor Swift dating each other flooded the internet. This came after speculations of Taylor Swift’s breakup with Joe Alwyn. Nevertheless, as there was no solid evidence of anything between the two, the rumors died down.

However, a Sports Journalist has now added fuel to the new rumored love in the life of Fernando Alonso. Matthew J Thompson earlier posted a picture of Fernando Alonso with Spanish Sports Journalist Melissa Jimenez in the background giving birth to the rumors of the two dating. Melissa Jimenez, the ex-wife of FC Barcelona Star Marc Bartra Jimenez, separated from Bartra last year. 

Thompson has now posted a photo of the two together in a car with Alonso in the driving seat. The caption to the tweet reads, “Hi everyone. As I posted a few weeks ago, the relationship between Melissa Jiménez and Fernando Alonso is confirmed. I am very proud to have been the first to reveal it. Thank you for your support. God bless you all.”

While nothing is confirmed yet, this rumor sounds fruitful as it looks like Fernando Alonso has a thing for journalists, as he was also once engaged with Lara Alvarez, who’s also a journalist. 

Who has Fernando Alonso dated before Andrea Schlager?

Fernando Alonso dated Andrea Schlager for two years before the pair announced their split earlier this year. However, Fernando Alonso has quite the reputation of being the playboy of the F1 grid. The Spaniard tied the knot with singer Raquel Del Rosario in 2006. However, they announced only after 5 years of their marriage. 

Since then dated the Russian-Swiss model Xenia Tchoumitcheva throughout 2011, Dasha Kapustina in 2012 followed by Lara Alvarez, the Spanish Sports Journalist, from the end of 2014 to 2016. Viki Odintcova and Linda Morselli are models whom Alonso dated after splitting with Alvarez.
