As the game moved into extra time, Messi scored again in the 108th minute. However, the joy was short-lived as Mbappe once again rose to the occasion in the 118th minute and completed his hat-trick to take the match into the penalties. The French posed little threat from the spot kicks as Emiliano Martinez showed his class by saving two kicks from 4 attempts.

After achieving everything there was to in Europe with FC Barcelona, Leo moved on to Paris Saint Germain. The Catalan club was going through financial problems and could not afford the GOAT’s wages and therefore had to let go of him. But before he firmed his move to Paris, there was an F1 offer on the cards as well.
Mercedes’ enticing offer to Lionel Messi
A move to PSG was a no-brainer for the Argentine magician. His former teammate and Brazilian superstar Neymar played for the club after all. However, Mercedes did not shy away from shooting their shot as they slid into Leo’s DMs.
They asked him, “Leo. Have you ever thought about moving to Brackley?”
Messi, to the disappointment of F1 fans, did not reply. However, that did not deter the F1 team to make an offer again after the world cup win.
