The entire Juventus board has resigned recently, including CEO Maurizio Arrivabene. Yes, it’s the same Maurizio Arrivabene who was the team principal at Ferrari until 2019. As the rumor mills are rife regarding the replacement of Mattia Binotto, fans wonder if the Ferrari management might rope Arrivabene in to retake the position.

Maurizio Arrivabene assumed the role of team principal at Ferrari in November 2014. After an awful season that saw the Prancing Horse fall behind Mercedes, Red Bull, and Williams, the management made a change at the very top. Ferrari replaced then-team boss Marco Mattiacci with their long-standing sponsor Philip Morris’ Arrivabene.

Could Maurizio Arrivabene make a comeback in F1 as Ferrari’s team principal?

Ferrari is going through a rough period. If rumors are to be believed, Mattia Binotto has tendered his resignation. The man believed to be the frontrunner for the job until now was Alfa Romeo team principal, Frederic Vasseur. However, the latest development coming from the Serie A club has thrown fans into delirium.

It is highly unlike Ferrari will offer the job to their former team principal who exited after much drama. Moreover, Juventus hasn’t accepted Arrivabene’s resignation, as they want him to continue until the transition to the next board of directors takes place. However, fans want the taskmaster back at the helm of Ferrari.

Even Vincenzo Landino couldn’t help but wonder if the move might happen after all. The laughing emoji tells us he might well be joking.

But someone surely isn’t. Some fans really want to see Maurizio take the job at the Prancing Horse.

BBC journalist Mina Rzouki too couldn’t let her imagination from running wild.

One fan joked it wasn’t Arrivabene who was going to make a comeback to Ferrari, but Binotto who was going to take up the job at Juve.
