Sauber has long been known to unearth young talents. Some of the gems they uncovered are Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen, Robert Kubica, and Charles Leclerc. Fittipaldi Sr was happy regarding his son’s admission into the Sauber academy. He said, “When I heard Emmo Jr had been selected by Sauber Academy, I was extremely happy for him.

Furthermore, he added, “He will be guided by Sauber, an organization with exceptional prestige and experience in motorsport. Emmo Jr is building a strong foundation to help him achieve his dream of becoming an F1 driver.”

Moreover, at the Sauber Academy, Frederic Vasseur, the team principal of Alfa Romeo, will be guiding young Fittipaldi. Vasseur said, “Investing in young talent has always been a central part of Sauber Motorsport’s racing philosophy.”

Vasseur also said that the Academy will guide these young drivers through their careers. It will also provide them the tools, education, and resources in order for them to have a successful career in motorsports.

However, 13-year-old Emerson isn’t the only family member to still be racing. His nephew, Enzo is a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy. Also, his other nephew, Pietro is currently a test and reserve driver for the Haas F1 team. However, both are elder to him.

Emerson Fittipaldi Jr has a big reputation to live up to. His dad won the world championship in 1972 and 1974. The youngster will be hoping to emulate his dad’s success in F1 when he grows up. So far he seems to be on the right track to gain success.
