Lewis Hamilton is desperate to get back to winning ways. And this is because it seems the Mercedes man will end the season without a win for the first time in his 15-year career. Furthermore, Mercedes has really struggled with the W-13 this year. They will also be looking to improve on their vehicle to give George Russell and Lewis a proper chance of winning.
Mike Elliott, the technical director of the Silver Arrows has praised Lewis Hamilton for his consistent efforts off the grid. He termed Lewis as a true leader who is constantly working in the factory to improve their 2022 challenger.

Elliott said, “He’s here late in the evenings working with us, trying to get the most from the car, and I think that’s just an encouragement to everyone else in the team to see the input he’s putting in.
“Lewis also spoke to the factory probably nearly two weeks ago and stood up and spoke to them and he was brilliant.”
“I guess what you expect from a character like Lewis – properly leading, properly bringing energy to the team. I think that’s what we need going into a difficult winter”
Lewis Hamilton is currently P6 in the driver’s standings. He’ll be looking to overtake his teammate, George Russell, in P4, by the end of the season.
Lewis Hamilton hopeful of Mercedes building a better car next year
Esteban Ocon defended like a lion against Lewis Hamilton in the Japanese GP. The rain-hit race provided plenty of excitement to the fans who came to watch their heroes after a gap of 2 years. But while Ocon defended with valor, the lack of straight-line speed in the Mercedes was fairly evident.
However, Hamilton was not at all disappointed with emerging second best in a “fun” battle with Ocon. Hamilton acknowledged the lack of straight-line speed of their W-13. He sounds hopeful when asked about the progress for next season’s car.
