Stroll Sr Defends Son Lance From “Jealous” F1 Critics: “Not Many People Who Can Do That”

Lance Stroll is usually criticized as a paid driver considering his father’s influence in Formula 1. The young Canadian, driving for Aston Martin this season, the luxury racing team that is making a comeback after 6 decades. It’s a team owned by the Canadian’s father, Lawrence Stroll.

Lance Stroll claimed his first pole position last season. However, the criticism still continues as he was chosen over Sergio Perez to make a place for Vettel in the team. In a recent interview, Canadian Billionaire, Lawrence Stroll gave his opinion on the Lance Stroll-Talent debate.

He said, “There are a lot of jealous people in the world and jealous people, who wish they were there in Lance’s position, do and say silly things.”

“I don’t pay much attention to it, and neither does Lance. Do I think Lance is talented? I think he is immensely talented. I have no doubt he has demonstrated that he has world championship blood in him.”

Stroll put his critics to rest last season when he took the pole position at the Turkish Grand Prix. He beat the Mercedes and the Red Bull drivers and shocked everyone by setting the fastest qualification time that weekend.

“Everything is equal when you get to the ring, and he showed that by putting it on pole in the rain in Turkey last year when the playing field was level. There are not many people who can do that,” said the Canadian Billionaire.
