From the perspective of a Formula 1 fan, the British Grand Prix was a race to remember. But if you are a McLaren or Lando Norris fan, then you must have been left ecstatic. Right at the start, the Brit raced off the starting line and pipped Max Verstappen into turn 1. Then, the 23-year-old went on to lead four laps of his home GP! But Red Bull‘s pace was accounted for as Verstappen blasted past the Brit and essentially never looked back.

While British fans would’ve loved to see Norris win his maiden GP at home, Verstappen’s utter dominance gave way to a titanic battle between Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris. After a late Safety Car, Hamilton pipped Norris’ teammate Oscar Piastri to 3rd by pitting for old Softs. Norris conversely was on a set of fresh Hard tires. At the restart, with Norris in 2nd and Hamilton in 3rd, the battle commenced.

Lap after lap, Hamilton tried to overpower Norris with the advantage of softer rubber. But the young McLaren racing ace didn’t yield. After a great battle, Norris came home in P2 to secure a British 2-3 for the home crowd. Norris said after the race, “It was an amazing fight with Lewis, I brought the fight to Max as much as I could… a big thanks to all the British fans out here supporting us.”
