Styrian GP F1 Boss Press Conference: Arch Rivals Wolff-Horner Paired, Aston-McLaren to Renew Rivalry

After the conclusion of the French Grand Prix, the F1 paddock will head towards the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Furthermore, Red Bull Ring will host back-to-back Grands Prix, just as it did in 2020.

Things will kick off with the conventional drivers’ press conference following by the Team Principals’ press conference.

After the disclosure of drivers and Team Principals’ pairing by FIA, it was noticed that Team Principals of Red Bull and Mercedes will face the media together.

It will delight the f1 fans after they can witness the dogfight between the title contenders Red Bull and Mercedes both on track and off track.

Christian Horner and Toto Wolff will face media together

After securing the double podium at Circuit Paul Ricard, Red Bull have extended their lead over Silver Arrows by 37 points in the Constructors’ Championship. Max Verstappen overtook Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap after a clever pit stop strategy by Christian Horner and Co.

It will be interesting to witness Christian Horner and Toto Wolff at the pre-Styrian Grand Prix press conference after the duo has been playing a war of words in recent weeks.

Toto Wolff labeled Christian Horner as a ‘windbag’ formerly after the Red Bull Team Principal Horner had said the Austrian should ‘keep his mouth shut’ when opposing the legality of the Red Bull car.

Christian Horner and Toto Wolff will address the media on Friday, 25th June at 1:00 PM local time. McLaren’s and Aston Martin’s Team Principals will be the other team bosses at the pre-Styrian Grand Prix press conference on Friday.

‘Red Bull haven’t broken any rules’: Christian Horner 

Earlier to French Grand Prix, Mercedes accused Red Bull of having an illegal flexible rear wing on their car. However, after winning at Circuit Paul Ricard, Christian Horner claims the team’s triumph at the French GP suggests the Milton Keynes-based team has broken no rules.

“I think it just shows that–you know, a lot of comments have been made over the last few weeks with accusations, but we’ve complied with the rules.

“And the way that we’ve reacted, I think, again, shows the strength and depth that our performance isn’t based on rear wing flexibility,” said the Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.

“All times we’ve always followed the prescriptions from Pirelli. And, obviously, the increase in tyre pressure this weekend was challenging for all the teams. But again, the engineering team has done a great job in optimising the car around it.”
