Red Bull is caught ‘Red’ handed for breaching the 2021 cost cap. However, extra billing for catering such as sandwiches or lunch? Mounting to millions of dollars? As the report of this surfaced on the internet, F1 fans took Twitter by storm.

As the Japanese Grand Prix got over, Red Bull’s star driver Max Verstappen picked up his second F1 world title. With the Dutchman finishing the race ahead of everyone else and Sergio Perez following in P2 [after Charles Leclerc’s penalty], things looked brilliant for the Austrian team until. However, their celebrations were under the shadow of the upcoming cost cap announcement.

Now, with the report out, the carnage begins. Reacting to the cost cap breach, Red Bull stated that a mistake was made. In a report published by The Telegraph of the Netherlands, it says that the cost is included with regard to other matters such as absenteeism due to illness and catering.

The report also states that in Red Bull’s Milton Keynes factory, around 1000 employees get free lunch every day. Moreover, it also stated that some employees are covered in the cost cap, while others are not.

FIA released a report that said Red Bull and Aston Martin breached the cost cap. While Aston Martin was found to be in Procedural breach, Red Bull Racing was found to be in Procedural and also Minor (less than 5%) Overspend breaches.

As the news and reason for this surfaced online, fans took to Twitter to share their reactions; and boy, did they get creative.
