Mercedes became the penultimate team to make a grand revelation of their beast. Ahead of the 2023 season, the teams have been revealing their championship contenders one after the other. But nobody quite took the F1 world by storm like the Silver Arrows when they gave their fans the black beauty the supporters had been asking for. At the event when the world waited to set eyes on the W14, another revelation off-stage left the fans in splits.
The all-black livery reveal immediately became the talk of the town and left the fans in the happiest tears. The Brackley-based outfit had been teasing their admirers with a probability that the car might be black. In their recent post that appreciated women in STEM, the picture had the black W11 in it. After playing hide and seek for weeks, the day finally came. The team had the most underwhelming season last year. Perhaps that is why they decided to bring their ‘lucky’ charm back. The black car is what gave them their eighth and Lewis’s seventh championship. While we are on the subject of giving & taking from Lewis, an interesting incident was captured backstage when the W14 was prepping to be revealed.
