It’s been a good day for F1 on Twitter as the second free practice session has given us some good memes. While Kimi Raikkonen and his drink had problems again, Pierre Gasly made a hilarious statement on his team radio.

As the under-steer of the AlphaTauri machine got unbearable, Gasly’s team radio complaint was odd.“I think my arms are too short to turn the wheel!” What added to the hilarity of the situation was that the Frenchman spun shortly after complaining about his short arms.

The hilarious exclamation led to a series of dinosaur memes that aren’t going to leave the Gas-man anytime soon!

Twitter pulls up the T-Rex memes

While it’s up to the engineers to find a way to fix the problem for tomorrow’s qualifying, fans on Twitter sure are having fun. A dominating theme was the obvious T-Rex references, each better than the one next.

While we hope the team can help the Frenchman with his problem, Pierre has an expert he can turn to. An experienced driver in the field of short arms, Yuki Tsunoda might have the solution to this problem. However, there were also some well-detailed instructions if AlphaTauri wants to take notes.

An average day at Turkey for Pierre Gasly

While Gasly had a few problems scattered around his session, he finished the second free practice in 9th. The under-steer that caused the unusual reaction from the Frenchman probably means he needs a seat readjustment. Nothing that can’t be fixed in time for tomorrow’s session.

Further, his teammate, Yuki Tsunoda, showed signs of great improvement in Turkey today. After an uneventful opening session, the Japanese driver was different in FP2. Following changes in his setup, Tsunoda finished 11th on the timesheets, a tenth behind his teammate.

As Saturday brings another practice session for Gasly, hopefully, his short arm problems would be resolved. Nonetheless, the AlphaTauri cars have shown great pace this Friday, something that could prove useful in Saturday’s qualifying.
