Taylor Swift isn’t a name that’s a stranger to F1 fans. After all, Fernando Alonso was linked with the global sensation last year. And the “Bad Blood” singer is back in the F1 news for a reason you wouldn’t expect. And this time, it’s not Fernando Alonso but the other Aston Martin driver, as she predicted Daniel Ricciardo’s disaster with Lance Stroll at the Chinese GP a couple of days before it happened. But how?

Daniel Ricciardo’s Chinese GP weekend ended abruptly after Lance Stroll crashed into him during the safety cat restart that was caused by Valtteri Bottas’ engine blowing up. The Aston Martin driver rear-ended Ricciardo as he locked up going into the penultimate corner, making the Australian driver’s car’s rear end airborne and causing major floor damage to his car. And Taylor Swift predicted this accident.

Taylor Swift is no stranger to putting references to her love life in her songs. Many of her songs are written for the guys she has dated, with references to what happened in the relationship. “London Boy” was inspired by her relationship with Joe Alwyn, and the infamous “All Too Well” was inspired by Jake Gyllenhaal. In her recently released album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” the song “Im Gonna Get You Back” is said to have references to Fernando Alonso.

The lyrics say, “Small talk, big love, act like I don’t care what you did. I’m an Aston Martin that you steered straight into the ditch. Then ran and hid” is believed to be a reference to the rumored relationship with Fernando Alonso. However, fans are now suggesting that Taylor Swift predicted the Ricciardo-Stroll crash with her song, as Lance Stroll steered his Aston Martin into Daniel Ricciardo, whose car was airborne, and created a ditch below it.

Despite Lance Stroll being at fault for the incident, he referred to the Australian driver as an idiot on the radio. It’s funny how fans can make connections so quickly, as in the case of Stroll and Taylor Swift. Regardless, let’s get back to the F1 action as Daniel Ricciardo slams Lance Stroll for the crash.

Daniel Ricciardo blames Lance Stroll for the crash. “He wasn’t looking at me.”

Lando Norris joked that Lance Stroll and Daniel Ricciardo’s crashes were caused by the 3X champ. However, looking at the replays, it was clear that the Canadian was at fault, and for the same reason, he was given a 10-second penalty. Daniel Ricciardo, who was running in points, slammed Lance Stroll in the post-race interviews.

Daniel Ricciardo said “It’s a restart, so we don’t know what the leader will do. And, you need to be prepared for anything. I saw it bunching up, and I saw how hard he hit me. It wasn’t like a small lapse of judgment.  I saw his onboard, and he wasn’t looking at me, he was looking at the apex. I don’t know what he was looking at unless he’s eyes do a funny thing. It was a blow for our weekend.”
