Even Charles Leclerc has experienced such friendship with his Monegasque childhood buddies. And one of those friends has revealed how Leclerc’s hairdo resembled Justin Bieber’s when they first met.

Yesterday, Leclerc seemed to have found the lost password to his YouTube channel. After 5 months of being inactive on the platform, he has finally posted a video. And the big bucks coming in from Ferrari have definitely helped the production quality. The entire video revolves around his hometown and the Monaco GP. Everything seems surreal. His friends, family, and the team featured in the video, speaking highly about him. But there are several light and humorous moments as well. Like his friend, Joris Trouche’s story of how they first met.

Joris Trouche, a.k.a Jojo, or Jo for his close friends has known the Ferrari driver since they were 10. As per Trouche, when they first met, Leclerc donned the Justin Bieber-like hairdo. He had a front-swooping haircut like the ‘Baby’ singer had in his early years. And this is quite understandable as Bieber had become a sensation during that time.

Was Bieber the inspiration? Who knows? Maybe Leclerc had invented the same hairstyle in Monaco. Or should we say his mom did? After all, she is Leclerc’s hairdresser.

Charles Leclerc’s mother, Pascale Leclerc is a hairdresser. So, naturally, growing up, the Monegasque racer got haircuts from his mom. She might also have been the brains behind the Justin Bieber hairdo. Even today, when he is in his hometown and needs a haircut, he gets it from his mom. Even former F1 driver, David Coulthard used to get haircuts from Mrs. Leclerc.

In the same YouTube video, the Ferrari driver opened up on how he used to be a bit of an annoying client to his mom. His mom even said how he used to be demanding and had intricate directions to give when it came to his hair. But it was all in good fun. After all, there is bound to be some amount of playfulness between a mom and son.

Watching the video, it is beautiful to see what the life of an F1 driver looks like and the kind of emotions that are attached to their friends and family when it comes to the most important race of the year, their Home GP.
