Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently dropped a bold claim about a car that can outpace an F1 machine. Model X Plaid is the quickest market car ever made, with an acceleration from 0 to 60mph in 2.5 seconds. This highly luxurious electric car comes with a range of 333 miles and the highest speed of 200mph.
The environmentally friendly car comes with Tri-zone temperature control, ventilated front seats, and HEPA filtration. Meanwhile, Model X also offers a spacious cabin with the world’s largest panoramic windshield, seating for up to seven, and wireless charging. Apart from that, it has multi-device Bluetooth, wireless, and USB-C charging for every passenger, with enough power to fast-charge your tablets and laptop.

Tesla claims Model X to be one of the highest performing cars ever built. In a recent update, Tesla CEO and shareholder Elon Musk claimed it to be faster than an F1 car.

A Twitter handle (Tesla Silicon Valley Club) shared a video of the same car reaching 0 to 60mph in 2.9 seconds and clocking 2.5 in the second go. The tweet read, “The thrill of the Plaid Model X never gets old @elonmusk“
To this, the world’s richest man replied with a tweet saying, “An SUV that is faster than a Formula 1 race car.”
SUV that is faster than an F1 car: Musk claims
Most of us must have heard the claim that Formula 1 cars are the fastest in the world. Without a doubt, the 1.6-liter turbo-hybrid V-6 power units are the most refined and technically superior units in the world. The total power output from the combined petrol and electric elements is around 1,000bhp.
However, as per the latest claim by Elon Musk, this stands nullified. He claims the Tesla Model X Plaid to be quicker than an F1 car. As per the detail he shared to acclaim his point, the F1 cars take 2.6 seconds to speed up from 0 to 60mph while the Tesla sedan takes 2.5.

There are conflicting opinions to this as well. Some motorsports websites claim F1 cars take less than the quoted time to achieve this acceleration. We will leave it upon the readers to decide. But one thing is for sure, Tesla Model X Plaid stands at the zenith of premier cars.
