Last year, Sebastian Vettel wasn’t having the best of seasons in Formula One. The four-time world champion found himself in thirteenth place with just 33 points in the drivers’ championship. Hence, many thought the German’s career in F1 was over.

However, Vettel signed with Aston Martin for the 2021 season, and since then, he has seemed to have found his old form back. Many were beyond overjoyed to see a happy Seb, and the German’s former Ferrari teammate, and close friend, Kimi Raikkonen is also happy that Vettel has found his old self back.

Seb’s final year at the Scuderia was one to forget; the media had cast him as a has-been. Vettel was hoping that joining the Silverstone-based team would help revive his career. The German’s gamble paid off as he scored his much await podium at the Azerbaijan GP, where he came P2.

Has the German bounced back?

Many assumed that Vettel’s career after leaving the Italian team was heading for a decline. And it seemed it was turning into a reality as in the first five races of the season, Vettel was finishing out of the points.

However, at the Monaco Grand Prix, fans witnessed a joyous comeback – the old Seb returned with a P5 finish and ten points. Then, at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, he came in P2, scoring his first podium of the season, and Aston Martin’s first ever.

As it stands, the 34-year-old currently sits in tenth place in the standings with 30 points to his name. The four-time world champion will be hoping to score some more points this season and to prove to his doubters that he isn’t done with F1 just yet.
