McLaren MP4-25A – sold for £4.8m in 2021 – Lewis Hamilton’s 2010 Turkish GP winning car was sold by RM Sotheby’s ahead of the Silverstone GP this year in 2021 for $6.4 million.  The Briton is a seven-time world champion and his car will always be a hot deal for F1 enthusiasts.

Ferrari F2001–sold for around £5.5m in 2017 – Michael Schumacher is arguably the biggest superstar this game has ever witnessed. His car is always going to break the upper ceiling as it did in this case. Schumacher had won Monaco and Hungry GP with this car which was sold for a whopping $7.5 million in 2017.

Mercedes W196R–sold for £19.6m in 2013 – This car is the symbol of the Silver Arrows’ first successful foray into the sport. F1 Legend Juan Manuel Fangio took this car to championship victory in 1954. Sold for $2.96 million in 2013, it was the most expensive car sold in an auction during the date.

1957 Ferrari 335 Sport Scaglietti – Only 4 of these were ever made, making it one of the rarest cars in the world. It was driven by F1 champions like Mike Hawthorne and Stirling Moss, which adds immensely to its value. According to reports, it was sold for $36 million in Paris in 2016.

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO- It is considered “the holy grail of cars.” It is the most expensive car ever sold at auction at RM Sotheby’s sale in Monterey in 2018; chassis number  3413 GT was sold for over $48 million. Reports also suggest that the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $70 million in a private sale. This is also the second most expensive car to be sold in an auction. It was sold for $38 million in 2014 at Bonhams.
