Lewis Hamilton is one of the most famous sports entities in the world. He regularly rubs shoulders with the who’s who of the sporting world. One such high-profile friend of Hamilton is the tennis ace, Serena Williams.

The two were so close that rumors of them dating often used to pop up in magazines. However, a rep for Lewis Hamilton told hollywoodlife.com that Lewis and Serena are just “good friends and in no way romantically involved.” Moreover, Serena Williams is now married to American entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian.

Hamilton and Serena’s friendship over the years

Hamilton and Serena Williams have been good friends for years now. However, that was not the case a few years ago. At one point, there were rumors of Lewis being romantically involved with the tennis ace.

One specific incident was the 2016 Mexican Grand Prix. Hamilton would go on to win the race and could be seen hand in hand with Serena as they made their way through the crowds to the podiums.

Serena Williams was also equally enthusiastic about the win and looked delighted alongside Hamilton. As a result, this got the rumor mill to churn out reports of the 2 dating. However, these claims held no truth as the 2 have gone on to remain just friends, supporting each other in their highs and lows.

Lewis Hamilton’s mixed bag of results in 2022

The Briton has had a subpar start to life under the new regulations. So far, he has had a mixed bag of results that see him collect a solitary podium in the first 3 races. Hamilton finished P3 in the season opener in Bahrain. He would then go on to finish P10 in Jeddah.

The last race in Australia saw him miss out on another podium finish, to his teammate George Russell, as he finished P4. The next set of races will see F1 travel to Europe. Emiliano Romagna in Italy is the next Grand Prix in 2 weeks’ time.
