The Scuderia Ferrari, with a blistering start to the 2022 season, is taking it one step further. The Prancing Horse is finally taking an action after not winning the last couple of races. As witnessed at the Miami Grand Prix, there is a clear gap in the speed between them and Red Bull.

Charles Leclerc’s astonishing start to the season propelled the team to the top of both the championship tables. And they’ve fended off competition and stayed on top with no major upgrades to the F1-75. However, now with Red Bull lurking and clearly outpacing the Ferraris at the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, the Italians are taking action.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ferrari will bring an updated F1-75 to the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix. Ferrari is planning to bring upgrades in three areas, the base, the diffuser, and the wings. The three changes will apparently be good enough to make the f1-75 0.3 to 0.4 seconds faster.

These test simulation rumored results usually differ completely from real-life scenarios. However, if they can mimic this output on the racetrack, this might be enough to close the pace gap to Red Bull. And that is exactly what Ferrari needs to do. The changes could also help them clinch another win for Charles or a first for Sainz at the Spanish Grand Prix.

Ferrari upgrades, and Red Bull reacts

Ferrari will not be the only team on the track to bring upgrades to their car for the Spanish Grand Prix. Red Bull will also bring upgrades to close the gap in the competition. Their previous upgrade, which they brought to Imola, worked wonders for the team. The Austrian team majorly brought upgrades that allowed them to make the most of the ground effect.
