In the middle of the season, drivers and team leaders are being sacked, however, there is also some emotionally taxing news regarding the untimely passing of young racers. Even for a driver who appears to be giving it his best so early in the season, this year is proving to be more of a mental game than a physical one. We are, indeed, referring to Carlos Sainz who, in addition to suffering from poor ranking, also had to deal with bias inside the team However, amidst that to add to the string of misery now he got a label that might be the last thing Carlos Sainz would’ve wanted to listen to.

Max Verstappen’s five-place grid penalty led him to drop to P6 when the Dutchman actually finished in P1, this saw the Spanish driver who finished in P5 move up to P4. However, what remained a point to notice was that both the drivers in Sector 2 veered off course, which allowed Carlos Sainz to close the deficit on Charles Leclerc. For the drivers to determine the timing for the single lap, Turn 2 remains a crucial point at the Spa Francorchamps track. And where Leclerc timed in at 46.4, Carlos Sainz lagged the 25-year-old by just 0.1 seconds. And given that Ferrari has so far shown ignorance toward the Spanish driver in their efforts to treat Charles Leclerc like a prince as the entire Ferrari organization made it clear by not applauding the efforts of Sainz, now an ex-Ferrari boss has publicly humiliated the former McLaren driver by giving him an embarrassing label.

While talking on his Youtube live streaming, Peter Windsor was found giving his review on the driver’s efforts during the qualifying there he pointed out the trim in the lap of turn 2 and also hailed Sainz for cutting the gap. But ignoring the fact that it was Sainz who toped the wet weather practice and even put in great efforts to get a P4 Windsor didn’t even think twice before labelling him a wingman. A tag that might humiliate Sainz to the core, given his recent efforts.

The ex-Ferrari boss said, “It’s because sector 2 is very, very important. Carlos Sainz 46.5 compared with Charles Leclerc 46.4 Pretty good. Good job by Carlos Sainz today I thought he did everything he should have done as Charles Leclerc’s wingman really got the best from Charles kept him on the island.”

Although later Windsor also pointed out how Sainz has been on the right track and will manage the situation if anything goes wrong on Sunday. “He’s just a little bit slower than Charles and he’s there to take advantage of anything that might go wrong on Sunday.”

Sainz is in excruciating pain at the Ferrari camp, but no one is around to listen to him. Nevertheless, he provided a little peek at the despair he is experiencing by sugarcoating it in a recent interview with the Independent.
