Ferrari’s strategic team has been under fire for much of the season. Their mistakes have constantly cost Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz points and even victories. He hopes to repeat his heroics from 2019 when he fended off two Mercedes drivers to take home an iconic win in Monza. The Monegasque said,

“Behind the scream in France, there was all my passion for this sport, which is my life.” He added, “I thought the radio was off, and that it remained private, but it doesn’t matter now. Everyone has heard it.”

Charles finished in 4th position last year, whereas his teammate Sainz finished in 6th position. Both of them will target at least podium finishes, given the quality of their car this season.

The Spaniard said, “It’s a very special feeling. I feel proud. I feel so lucky to be part of the Ferrari team and be a Scuderia Ferrari driver. These types of moments are very special whenever you see loads of people are supporting you, are living your career with you.”

He continued, “Being a McLaren driver in Silverstone was nice, but being a Ferrari driver in Monza, I don’t want to compare as it’s not fair, but everyone knows how passionate people are in Italy and what Ferrari means in Italy.”

Meanwhile, Charles said, “It’s something that is so big, that is difficult to explain, even for me sometimes difficult to understand how they can be so passionate, so involved in the team and in how the team does, changes so much their mood.”

The duo will be hoping to give their all to experience celebrating with ‘Tifosi’ at Monza. Additionally, it will also halt Verstappen’s winning run of 4 races on the spin.
