Lando Norris has completely recovered from his Coronavirus scare and even visited the factory earlier this week. As the young Briton makes his way back to the Woking team’s headquarters, Lando spelled out a few reasons for his excitement and things to look forward to this season.

The Briton has a special love for designing his helmets and working with different designers and individuals to create something memorable. In 2020, the young Briton was set to design a special helmet for every race.

As 2021 rolls in, Lando is eagerly looking forward to designing his race helmets again. “While I’m not going to be doing quite as much this year, there’s a plan in place to do a handful of special, one-off helmet designs. We’re working on them at the moment, so watch this space!” he said.

This was Lando’s helmet for the 2020 British Grand Prix. Eva, a six-year-old created the design in a competition. Lando claims it reminded him of his young self scribbling away and used the design for the weekend.

Lando Norris looks forward to driving MCL35M

The young Briton is also very eager to get his hands behind the McLaren 2021 car, the MCL35M. It’s been a while since Lando raced a Formula 1 car and claims he can’t wait to once again push his limits.

“I’ve driven the MCL35M in the simulator, but I can’t give you any clues about what it’s like to drive. It feels like ages since the last race in Abu Dhabi; I can’t wait to go racing again and push one of the fastest cars on the planet to the limit,” he said.

The team fired up their Mercedes power unit engine at their Woking factory. The Formula 1 community is excited to see how the Mercedes powered McLaren will fare this season.

Only two months to go before the 2021 season kicks off at Bahrain Grand Prix. With Daniel Ricciardo as the new teammate, Norris will take more of a leadership role. The Briton will hope to help McLaren continue the momentum from 2020 and sustain their “Top 3” position.
