After eight long years of dominating the turbo-hybrid era of Formula 1, the mighty Mercedes fell. 2022 was the year that F1 entered its newest era. With a revamp of the regulations, teams had to essentially design, fabricate and manufacture their cars from scratch. However, the boys and girls back at Brackley didn’t get it quite right this time. Red Bull went on a rampage as the top dogs slipped to a dismal third. But over the course of the season, they did work hard and regain the pace to an extent. Given this, the spirits in the Mercedes camp is on a high, evidently.
The Mercedes social media admin is as famous as Lewis Hamilton, if you ask F1 fans. But this time around, the fans may have found a chink in their armor. The 2023 season is right on the horizon, and with that comes car reveals. The Silver Arrows will reveal their 2023 livery, and possibly the W14, on the 15th of February. The team’s social media account, however, is already jumping on the hype train. But the fans fear the worst.

As soon as the team took to its social media handle, Twitter, to post a short clip hyping the 2023 challenger, fans instantly took to the platform to warn the admin about the mistake they are about to commit. Sports are filled with superstition, and the fans fear Mercedes may have already jinxed their season.
Fans react as Mercedes hype up the W14
Lewis Hamilton probably isn’t going to stick around the sport for much longer. 2023 may be the only viable year for the 38-year-old 7x champ to fight for that elusive 8th-world title. But the Mercedes team may have jumped the gun and ruined Hamilton’s chances already. One fan even tweeted, “THESE MFS DIDNT LEARN FROM THE W13”
Let’s take a look at just a few of the fan reactions from Mercedes’ latest tweet.
The roots of the fans’ concern come from the past. Mercedes has, on occasion, been on the wrong side of some of their Tweets.

Exactly! Admin playing with fire, again lol. I’ll wait and see when that car hits the track before getting my hopes up – even then, I’ll wait till couple races in first.
