Lewis Hamilton and Wolff met in 2013. It was when Mercedes shockingly signed Hamilton from McLaren. From that point forward they have left on a streak no one could have anticipated.
Mercedes, conceived from the 2009 title-winning Brawn GP group, have, since 2014, won six back to back titles. It is an accomplishment no F1 group has ever accomplished previously. While Hamilton has added five titles to make him the second-best driver ever.
“We were just like magnets. We drew each other together. I needed Toto to do what he did with the team. He needed me to do what I do in the car,” Hamilton said.

Although, the duo says they don’t know about the progress of other teams and what they are really up to.
“We don’t know what they have in store for us at the moment. All we can do is focus on what’s ahead of us and take one step at a time,” Hamilton added.
The Briton said: “We don’t get caught up wondering what Ferrari or Red Bull are doing. They can talk all they want. The way I’ve been brought up is to do my talking on the track.”

“Exactly,” Wolff agreed.
