Leclerc interacted with the MLB players and played catch with Avisail Garcia. After the MLB match, Charles reported to the media about his excitement to be in Miami.

He said, For me it’s incredible. The place is incredible. It is my first time in Miami, the first day. I‘ve been around the city a little bit. You can see that they have done everything right for it [F1 race] to be a huge event. But it is always the case in the US.”

“American people, in general, are so passionate about sports, and to now have a second race here, especially in Miami, it‘s going to be huge.” The Monegasque driver further continued, “So I hope we can put on a good show for the fans!”

Hakkinen reveals Charles Leclerc can’t win every Grand Prix

The 24-year-old Ferrari driver is the favorite to win the title this season. He is comfortable leading the 2022 driver’s standing with 86 points. However, he could have boosted his advantage further if he didn’t make that mistake in Imola.

The Red Bull duo were the ones with better pace in the Emilia Romagna GP while Leclerc was chasing them in P3. He could have at least finished the race at P3 with 15 points, but lost places in the final moments of the race. The Monegasque driver tried too hard to overtake Sergio Perez ahead and spun his car at the Variante Alta chicane, dropping in position.

After the Imola GP, former F1 driver Mika Hakkinen reminded fans that the 2022 championship leader can’t be victorious in every Grand Prix. The two-time world champion said, “Charles still has a big lead in the world championship, but this error is a reminder that you cannot win every race. Sometimes settling for second or third is the right strategy.”
