Although McLaren did not have a great testing, practice, or qualifying at Bahrain, fans were positive of a comeback. Sadly, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo could not even make it to the top 10. Additionally, now one team member has claimed how this performance could carry on for some time. Hyped to be even better in 2022, the Woking team has shocked everyone with a pace that will not even land them in midfield. Notably, every Mercedes-powered car was struggling at the bottom 6, including the McLaren.

Though Lando revealed the Power units have not helped, he also clarified that downforce is the major issue. He further revealed, “It’s just our car. We’re way behind in downforce, so the ride and feel are very mediocre.”
