Even though the now 2x Champion has been flawless and dominant the whole season, he’s made the odd mistake here or there. But having said that, none of those mistakes have canceled out the inevitable this season. This didn’t stop the fans though, who swarmed the social media platform to share the spin and have some fun at the expense of the Dutch driver.

Fans react as rare Max Verstappen mistake leads to him spinning ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix

Max Verstappen is the epitome of car control. He’s had difficult cars in the past, and when his teammates faltered, he shone. However, during the Free Practice session of the Mexican Grand Prix, he lost control of the car and spun.

Let’s take a look at a few of the fan reactions to Verstappen’s moment of failure

The sarcasm of Formula 1 fans is something to behold. This was pretty evident as soon as the footage of Verstappen spinning at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez became viral.

Fans stormed Twitter to share the video and sarcastically mock the double World Champion.

Verstappen himself wasn’t too fussed about the whole spin either. He came onto the team radio in good spirits and gave a report of the incident. He chuckled while saying, “It’s unbelievable, I couldn’t correct it. So little grip.”
