The concept is showing great performance numbers and is supposed to arrive in time for Emilia Romagna GP. In a desperate effort to catch up to Red Bull, Mercedes has also initiated a reshuffle within the factory.

James Allison has been reinstated as the Technical Director at Mercedes, as he will be swapping roles with the current Technical director, Mike Elliott. Moving from the Chief Technical Officer to the technical director means Allison will have a more hands-on approach to the development of the car. James was the Technical director when Mercedes won the Constructor’s Championship in 2021. Fans are relieved and rejoiced as Allison’s return to his old position brings hope of Mercedes building a title-challenging car.
