The blood, sweat, and tears of a driver’s team are directly responsible for their success, and when Lewis Hamilton won at Nurburgring on Sunday, the entire team erupted with joy and elation as he equaled a highly elusive record held by Michael Schumacher.
One man who was particularly impressed with Hamilton’s achievement was Toto Wolff. The Mercedes Team Principal has been credited for the British champion’s success, and for good reason.

Toto Wolff impressed with what Lewis Hamilton has achieved
As part of his post-race debrief, Wolff called up Hamilton to congratulate him on his remarkable feat. They have always shared a sense of mutual respect for each other and are two strong pillars that hold the German giants up.
The post from Mercedes’ official Twitter shared a video of Toto Wolff congratulating the 6-time World Champion, “Lewis, absolutely impressive what you have achieved and also to the team and everybody back at base, I am so proud of where we are today.”
And rightly so, considering the team only started off in 2010 as a full constructor. Much of the decade from 2010 to 2020 belonged to Mercedes for their sheer determination and consistency.

The two individuals will focus on sealing the titles this season
Right from the start of the season, there has been continued speculation about Hamilton and Wolff’s futures at the Brackley based outfit. Whether they intend to extend their contracts at this point in time is something that remains a mystery to us all. But should they continue, their primary objective will be to help Mercedes become even stronger.
The 2022 regulations represent a chance for rival teams to identify key areas to improve. For the time being, however, their focus will lie on the 2020 season and further glory that comes with it.
