Mercedes and Red Bull are involved in a titanic battle for championship gold this season. They both have had their shot at leading both drivers’ and constructors’ championships. They have also collided with each other both on and off-the-track and made the title fight even spicier.

But Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff believes that the battles with Red Bull are just on the track.

As reported by Gpfans, Wolff has mentioned that the title fight with Red Bull has been intense and quite tough. But the battle will always stay on track.

” The competition on track is always on,” said Wolff on the battle with Red Bull.

“Straight from the beginning of the year, it has been a tough fight. You can see whatever happens it’s going to be very, very close between the two drivers and between the two teams, so there is always a war on track.” Mentioned the Mercedes team boss.

When asked if the battle has affected the team or him off track, Toto replied, “For me, it’s just on the track.”

It’s not in our culture to give up on any season: Christian Horner

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has stated that the team will fight with Mercedes till the end of the season. He mentioned it is not in the DNA of the team to give up their fight for championships.

“It is embedded in who we are as a race team that it’s not in our culture to give up on any season,” said Horner.

“Of course, we have the constraints of the budget cap as well, which makes life slightly more complicated. But people have short-term memories in this sport, and you’ve got to go for it,” claimed Horner.

Mercedes are leading their rivals in both championships at the halfway stage of the season.
