Daniel Ricciardo can help McLaren become a top team again, claims Technical Director

McLaren recorded their best Formula 1 finish since 2012. They have significant momentum in their stride and a Mercedes power unit for the next season. They also have the added advantage of a proven race winner, Daniel Ricciardo joining their team alongside Lando Norris.

The team’s current Technical Director, James Key, has previously worked with the Australian back in Toro Rosso and believes Ricciardo will add substantial value to the team. “I think he can compete at [the top echelons of the sport], and we’ve seen him do it in past years.”
