A recent adorable post by Mercedes royalty Susie Wolff has made headlines. In the post, her son Jack Wolff is donning a Mercedes racing outfit. The post also states that Jack was asked to dress up as his favorite character at school. Unsurprisingly, he dressed up as the British driving ace Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton has been racing for the Silver Arrows for a long time now. Hence, it’s no wonder that he’s very close with the team Boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie Wolff. While there have been reports of some discord in the past, the friendship between Toto and Hamilton still seems solid.

Susie Wolff has known Lewis Hamilton since she was 8

Susie Wolff is a very well-known name in motor racing. Her father, John Stoddart, is a former bike racer. Additionally, she herself has been a racing legend and was into competitive karting for a very long time. Susie has also raced with Formula Renault and Mercedes F1. She was also a part of the driver development program with Williams F1 and decided not to engage in motor racing after 2015.

Susie, being a Britisher herself, has worked alongside Hamilton in various capacities. They’ve also competed against each other. Having later signed a contract with Mercedes in 2016, Lewis and she have worked in a close professional capacity. The Wolffs have always backed Hamilton and seem like a closely-knit unit.

Lewis, famously known to adore kids, often hangs out with Jack. Hence, it comes as no surprise that Jack really looks up to Lewis.

Susie and Toto tied the knot in 2011 and have two kids together. They recently celebrated their 10th anniversary with a trip to Venice. Their son Jack, in the above picture, adorably holds a mini Hamilton helmet. While one can see the fans going gaga over the picture, everyone awaits a comment from Lewis, who is tagged in the picture.

Wolff’s will always have Hamilton’s back

Hamilton controversially lost his record eighth world title to Max Verstappen last season. While he was dealing with the heartbreak, fans saw both Toto and Susie constantly supporting him. Susie also claimed that Lewis faced the situation with “incredible integrity and dignity.”

She made this statement on Twitter, “What happened is still hard to comprehend and leaves me with a sick feeling. Not the losing – and not Max or Red Bull – they are deserving winners and we always knew it was a strong possibility we may not win; but the way in which Lewis was robbed has left me in utter disbelief.

“Lewis Hamilton, you have shown incredible integrity and dignity in the face of injustice. You are the greatest there has ever been. The outcome of the last laps on Sunday? Those who know, they know, even those who can’t quite bring themselves to admit it.”

With this post, it was very clear what Lewis means to the Wolff family. Susie, who currently heads the Venturi Formula E team, was quick to criticize the decision-making last year. Moreover, Mercedes F1 and Formula E teams did not attend the FIA ceremony to show their frustration.
