It has been a near-perfect start to the season for the Red Bull Racing team in 2022. They had some early-season struggles where they retired two of the first three races because of reliability issues. But since then, they have won every single race up till now.

And now, there are no signs of that form stopping soon in the near future. Red Bull advisor doctor Helmut Marko also believes that it has been a dominant start to the season for the Austrian team.

“The main thing is you have to finish and avoid those reliability things. We also had a sprint race, which helped us a lot to get more points. We have an unbelievable run now.”

“Normally in the first half of the season, we were always catching up and now are dominating. You have to say that if you win seven races out of the first nine, that is domination,” Marko said to Motorsport.com.

“Reliability is always a concern if you have a car that is so much on the limit. You see that at Ferrari. The only ones who don’t have a technical DNF yet are Mercedes, but they had to lift during some races because of overheating problems,” said the Red Bull advisor.

The Austrian is correct in being worried about the reliability of the 2022 cars. Therefore, it is essential that they maximize every given possibility, and get maximum points from them.

It would be fascinating to see how well the team reacts if reliability concerns return once again. They have a huge lead in both driver’s and constructors’ championships which might be a relief for them.
