Lewis Hamilton says things are not always ‘glorious’ with his family

Hamilton is quoted as saying, “We are quite a loving family, but we have our own problems just like every family. Family can be a pain in the arse, you know! You don’t get to choose your family, they’re with you from the start of your life to the end of your life, along the journey.”

When he took to the wheel of the Mercedes W11 on Sunday, nobody thought he was going to secure a race victory at the end of it. Treacherous conditions and a slippery surface at the Istanbul Park, did not really help his cause.

But he drove like a true champion, trusting his instincts, and deservedly won the race. And it was certainly a performance that his family back home would cherish for years to come.
